Some of my favorite TV shows are coming out with new seasons this summer:
The Chosen: If you haven’t already watched this show, you need to. I know it’s been controversial in some Christian circles, but it’s the best recreation of the story of Jesus that has been produced so far. It’s not just about Jesus, but about the lives and stories of his followers, even Joanna, one of the women who was the first to see him at the tomb. You will not regret watching this show.
The Gilded Age: For fans of Downton Abbey, The Gilded Age is another period piece by Jullian Fellowes. Taking place in New York City instead of England, it includes rivalry between old money and new money, upstairs and downstairs. I can’t wait to see the new season!
The Bear: I usually spend my summers watching MasterChef or other culinary reality shows. The Bear is culinary drama with heart. Each character has a backstory that will either make you laugh or cry. Find yourself rooting for the underdogs as you watch.
The Summer I Turned Pretty: I am debating with myself if I want to watch the new season or not. I am kind of growing tired of shows that feature love triangles, especially ones where it’s two brothers in love with the same girl. (Just like My Life with the Walter Boys).
